Weaving Together the People of God

Values

1.    Authenticity- Real people in a real relationship with a real God. We live it because we believe it, and others will believe it because we live it.  The simple truth is God is real, He wants us to know Him, and that changes everything.
2.    Simplicity- God makes it simple for us so we keep it simple for others. We put the cookies on the bottom shelf so everyone can enjoy.  Our Creator has made it simple enough for a seven year old to understand its truths, but profound enough that the most educated 100 year old cannot fully grasp its entirety.
3.    Get Out- We keep our focus outward.  We use the term “arrows out.”  This means putting more focus on others rather than ourselves. Our goal is to get our members into their communities for the purpose of living a life for Christ.

Priorities

1.    Worship- Like most churches we meet weekly for a time of corporate worship.  It is our hope that this corporate time spurns you towards a week full of worship.  We hope that you feel free to worship your Creator, so that you can live abundantly for Him.
2.    Community- Being linked together and active with those around us.  Perhaps the most valuable, yet least experienced aspect of churches today is community.  It is a priority because it is important.  We believe in it so much because we have seen its fruit.  Support, accountability, friendship, and family all result from a strong community.
3.    Missions- Telling and showing as many people as possible about the good news of Jesus Christ.  We strive to put our people in positions to minister to others.  We do this in various ways.  We send teams overseas yearly.  This past year NW Contexture members were in three different foreign countries serving.  We send teams across the country.  We had members on the Gulf Coast and Eastern Oregon.  Finally, we start other congregations.  With works in Beavercreek, West Linn, and Portland, we believe we are just beginning the course God has set before us.
